There is no real reason or purpose of this page, I just make it for fun! If you find any particular part of the site boring, shit, or unuseable, either email me, or easier still just skip or ignore that bit of the site (skip a couple of lines or something!)
Im trying to implement a lot of css in this web site this time, and im not using a 'WYSIWYG' either!! I'm typing the whole thing by hand, and just using 'gedit' to edit the source! I was using 'cssed', but figured that 'gedit' was a bit lighter and did everything that 'cssed' did! My previous page used tables to set the layout of the page, but this one is going to use z-index, absolute position and various other css features to set the layout!! After advice from a friend in work, im also using an external .css file to set the various elements of the whole site, so the font, size, and background can all be very easily changed!!
This second incarnation of the page, in my opinion, looks a lot better, even tho the layout has hardly changed! the pages are a little empty at the minute, but they will gradually fill up! Also, if you know me, you will know ive been desparatly searching for a decent job for ages! Well, I start my new job on the 2nd of July as a recruitment consultant! And its my birthday on the 5th! Fun times!
If you want to learn to make a site like this, jus follow the 2 links on the left for 'css tutorial' and 'html tags/code'. From knowing nothing about web design to making this page in a months from just those 2 pages! I think they're pretty useful anyway!
Im planning on making the weblog page more than just your usual blog, more like 'my life so far', but that will take time! The pictures page will link to parts of the blog, so you can see the full story of any photo, and also get a visual picture of the weblog! maybe?!?!?!?!
